Troop 474 runs on volunteers. If everyone does a little, we can keep the people who do a lot.

Merit Badge Counselors

Scouts can’t earn merit badges without a counselor. With around 150 badges to choose from, we need a few hours a year from you to sit with a group and see what they’ve learned.

Drivers

We need drivers to take scouts to and from campouts. Drop off, pick up, head home. We’ve come close to canceling trips for lack of rides, and a couple of hours of driving is a fair trade for the weekend our leaders give up.

Assistant Scoutmasters

Join us on a few campouts a year. You’ll be a safety monitor, a question answerer and a directional guide, with a front-row seat to watch your scout be a scout. Our scouts already know how to scout, so you don’t have to. Come unwind, visit new places and take all the pictures you want.

Adults who camp with the troop complete a short online Youth Protection training, and we’ll help you get started.
